Este lunes tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer una nueva investigación de la Universidad de Jaén relacionada con Aceite de Oliva Virgen Extra y Salud en el programa Entreolivosrai. Se trata de la tesis doctoral de la investigadora Cristina Sánchez Quesada que ha sido dirigida por el Dr. Jose J. Gaforio, con el título ESTUDIO DE LAS PROPIEDADES ANTITUMORALES, ANTIOXIDANTES E INFLAMATORIAS DE LOS PRINCIPALES TRITERPENOS DEL ACEITE DE OLIVA VIRGEN UTILIZANDO MODELOS EXPERIMENTALES CELULARES DE MAMA. En dicho estudio se han descubierto dos elementos dentro de los componentes minoritarios del AOVE que son el uvaol y el eritrodiol. Estos ayudarían a frenar y eliminar sustancias cancerígenas en el cáncer de mama .

This monday we had the opportunity to meet a new research from the University of Jaén related to Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Health at Entreolivos program. It is the thesis of the researcher Cristina Sánchez Quesada which has been directed by Dr. Jose J. Gaforio, with the title STUDY OF ANTI-TUMOR PROPERTIES, ANTIOXIDANTS AND INFLAMMATORY OF VIRGIN OLIVE OIL`S MAIN TRITERPENES  USING EXPERIMENTAL  BREAST CELL MODELS. In this study  two elements have been discovered  within EVOO ‘s minority components that are uvaol and erythrodiol. They would help to stop and eliminate carcinogenic substances in breast cancer.
